This
gasket machine will pick and place an
injection moulded viewing window for mobile
phones from the rotary table, then transfer
and place onto precisely positioned rotary
die cut adhesive gaskets. The second in-line
process places a rotary die cut low tack
clear protective film onto each lens.
Accurate positioning is achieved using
a two axis electric servo drive - and
all in a cycle time of 3.8 seconds!

This
machine receives four components by robot
directly from the mould machine. These
are transferred to the eight station rotary
table on a two axis pick and place system
where two adhesive backed rotary die cut
gaskets are then placed onto the moulding.
The process is completed in 3.5 seconds
when the pick and place facility removes
the pieces and drops them down the out-feed
chute.

A
piece part is placed onto a two station
rotary index table by the operator. The
table indexes, an adhesive backed rotary
die cut gasket is picked from a tape and
accurately placed onto the moulding in
only 3.5 seconds.
